About Us

Mission

Provide services that enable children and families an equal opportunity to improve the quality of their lives.

It is the goal of our foster care program to provide stable, safe, and clean housing to children from birth to age of 21. Our homes are made available to children as a means of stabilizing behaviors and assisting children in returning to their biological families whenever possible. Our case management team provides a wide range of services designed to remove cultural barriers and to promote personal growth. All services are provided based on the child/adolescent's needs. Although our agency specializes in serving minority children and their families, we serve all children regardless of their cultural, ethnic, or religious background.

Many of our services are provided in the community and in the home of the children. Our goal is to increase the involvement of schools, churches, friends, and family members in order to build strong support systems that will assist our children and families in becoming independent and self-sufficient.

History

Lorene's Place II (LPII), a non-profit organization, was founded in 2011. We branched out of Lorene’s Place, a child placing agency established in 2002. Many children in need are placed with us because we have developed a reputation with the State of Washington for high quality care, good value, and an exceptionally low displacement rate.

Our Philosophy

Young people, when given the opportunity, make positive choices and fulfill their potential in life. Building relationships strengthens feelings of self-worth and fuels a desire to learn.

Because education is of prime importance for young people, we provide significant educational support. We work with school districts to ensure children receive education at the highest possible standards. We aim to develop in each child the value of education as a life-long process. We do all that we can to assist children in acquiring the skills to develop and succeed.

We continually assess, reflect, and plan for each young person, their family, and social worker, in order to enable a positive move on from residential care.

Committed to excellence in childcare provision.
